    Wiring ac blower unit
Got a new a/c blower motor but this one has six(6) wires and old one had five(5)
The color of wires that I have to hook up to are black, purple, orange coming from one of the circuit breakers inside the unit. This old unit is from 1990 and just can't get the money together to replace the whole unit. This unit when running works great..

The color of wires to hook up are black, blue yellow, orange, white and red.
There are wires that go to the coil they are brown

All new motors come with a legend on what colors each wire means. Usually on the side of the motor or in the box the motor came in. see attached

I have had the same set up for years. When I turn to "cool", the A/C unit kicks on, but the blower does not. The only way I can get it to work is by turning it to "ON" instead of "Auto". In years past, it has always worked on "auto"... What could have happened?
