Why would water softener resin beads in pipes?
Hi, I was flushing my toilet this morning and I noticed that there's a weird sound when the water was filling up in the toilet. I lift the lid open and noticed some yellow beads in the bottom so I turned off the water supply to the toilet. I didn't know what that was so I thought it might be because we didn't clean the inside for so long. After turning on the water valve, more yellow beads were coming out of the water pipe. I believe they are the resin beads from the water softener but I'm not sure. Now the faucets throughout my household are clogged, barely any water coming out. What should I do? Please help!

    Hi Fairyskyblue

Obviously, the filter mechanism at the water softener has failed and will need to be repaired or replaced. For now, look at the valves at the softener... should be a BYPASS that can be switched to restore clean water flow for now. After you restore flow, remove the aerators and clean them to restore full flow to all faucets. You may also need to clean the toilet fill valve and the washing machine hoses or any other appliances/filters, too.
