Is it worth an aunt getting a solicitor er for visitation rights
    Hi
I am a biological aunt. My brother is the father. He has separated from his wife and not acting good at all. She is now saying that I cannot see my niece & nephew who I used to have at my house every other weekend. I have a good career and can provide for them financially and instil good morals. She is from the Philippines and will probably take them back. Is it worth me trying to get a court order for visitation? How long is this likely to take. I am being punished for my brothers behaviour but I live a completely separate life to him. The children lived with my parents also until they split and they as grandparents have also been refused visits.

No. I'm afraid you would be wasting your money. You might want to consult a solicitor to be sure, but to my knowledge the UK doesn't depart from the general rule that an aunt or other non-parent doesn't have any custody or visitation rights.
