At this present time my mother has a pupy 5 months of age battling parvo. Well she was taken to the vet the other day and we were told that Gracie (the pup) doesn't have any parasites. We are all assuming that means she's going to start recovering and she will be OK. 2 days from the vets office and she still isn't eating shows severe signs of depression and has almost completely lost interest in drinking
Any water, which she was doing so well in the beginning. Doing so much research and spending endless hours burning both ends of the candle sort of speak has only confused, and gave us oppurtunity to diagnoise her ourselves. We try to keep her hydrated she is on antibiotics, amoxicillin. The constant look that she has is enough for a complete mental breakdown on my mother. She has another pup same age matter face the sister of Gracie had the onset of Parvo and thank GOD made it through. We were wondering if Gracie is just depressed because she's alone outside and wants to be inside with the family or something more is going on? Not eating and now not drinking anymore water is such a vast concern. Thank you for your time in reading this any information or advice that you have please do not hesitate to comment. This post is somewhat confusing to me.
Are you saying that you diagnosed parvo yourself?
Did you diagnose the other pup also or did that one get a diagnosis from the vet?
And the parvo suspect is outside alone?
Self diagnosis is dangerous at best without having a professional look at your pup how could you know what is going on exactly?
Self treating is just as dangerous if not pointless sometimes.
That pup needs to go to the vet for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
Could be something else entirely and you are just guessing.
At the very least get her inside if she is not doing well where you can keep an eye on her until you get her to the vet.
Hydration is going to be very important but may not be enough depending on what is going on. Try giving her gatorade or pedialyte instead of plain water.
And my best suggestion is getting her to the vet soon.

Why is a puppy, that you think is sick, outside by herself?

If the other puppy had parvo, than parvo is on your property. Even if the other dog is vaccinated, she can still get a slight case of parvo.

The vet never tested for parvo? Just worms? Maybe go to a different vet?

Self diagnosing isnts a great idea.. Many other ailments mimic the first signs of parvo.
