    1997 honda accord
    Replaced fuel pump, egr valve, fuel filter and main relay on 1997 honda. Still takes a long time to start. Checked fuses also.

    . Check/replace the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor.

    . Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil, if the Check Engine Light consistently comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II). This is the ideal time to replace the rotor and distributor cap, if they have not been changed in 60,000 miles.

    . Replace the platinum spark plugs (NGK only), if they haven't been changed in 40,000 miles.
