    Facial swelling
    My husband has swelling in his cheek on the side where there is a mesh metal plate place during reconstructive surgery many years ago?. what could be the reason.. best way to reduce swelling... is there infection?

    I'd sure ask a Physician but I do know that some of the mesh used in cardiac surgeries (to help close the incision) is part of a class action lawsuit because after a number of years people's bodies began to reject the mesh.

    I'd get it looked at - a facial infection can spread very, very quickly.
