On H1-B, have ITIN from previous year, e-file option possible?
    Hello,

I am working on H1-B Visa. I got the ITIN number for my wife, when I filed my taxes last year. Now I want to file my taxes electronically, so can I use my SSN and my wife's ITIN number to file taxes electronicaly? If yes then which site.?

The reason for asking is that most of the web sites ask for SSN and do not give option of ITIN.

Also, if you could suggest any site where e-filing can be done free of charge? My gross income is more than $52k.

    Thanks in advance,
    Rajan

    Rajan:

Just put the ITIN in place of the SSN. Suggest you use TaxAct.
