    Burke Tyree
    I have a painting labeled "Screech Owl" by Burke Tyree. On the back it says, "original oil, Burke Tyree 1975, G.A. 4919, Price $500.00, 18 x 24."
    How do I find it's value?

    Let me know what you find out.
    I too have a Burke Tyree "Lion, Kenya. Original Canvas. Burke Tyree 1972"
    Label on the back "Cory Gallery, San Francisco price $500".
    The painting is 30" x 24".
    Have been unsuccessful in getting information about resale value.

    Velvet paintings are not really worth much anymore! You may get around $200-500US MAx for these. I collect many including and have Leetegs & Mcphees etc... thee are well regarded but still only fetch around the $800NZ mark MAX

    I too have a Burke Tyree titled Mountainer dated 1976 16" x 20" trying to find out its value and how to sell
