    Rejected from ptd
I was charged with ptd for first time class a theft. I didn't have the money to pay for the program and was rejected. Now a few months later I have a court date. What will most likely happen? Jail or can I go for probation?

    Hello Z:

Your post doesn't make sense. It sounds like you were diverted from prosecution pursuant to a satisfactory completion of a "ptd" class, whatever that is, and you didn't go, for whatever reason.

If that's the case, I think you HAD your chance at staying free, and you didn't take it.

If it's something else, please explain it better.

I was rejected from a pretrial diversion because I didn't have the money. It took 8 months to get a new court date and I don't know what to expect this time. Can I still get probation or it it just a jail sentence now?

    Hello again, Z:

I haven't changed my mind. It looks like the court gave you a CHANCE at staying out of jail, and you didn't take it. Do I think they'll give you another one? No.
