Hello,

I am writing to you guys because I have always been the type of person that has been alone and didn't need to be around people. For some reason, I enjoy having people around me and hope that I would make some lifelong friends but at the same time I don't like the drama and I like to do stuff on my own with peace and quiet. As you can see, I am in quite a dillemma. Nevertheless I thought to myself I have never had many friends in my life and how would I know if I prefer solitude if I haven't experienced having friends.

I am currently in University, and I was wondering if there are any general tips on how to make friends for me? I talk to lots of people, in fact I have a few "school-friend" meaning I have friends at school that I talk to and hang out with during school but as soon as when we're finished class we go our separate ways, never hang outside of school and I would like some of those friends that I can hang out outside of school and make some life long friends.

I do not know how to proceed. I would like some permanent friends. Most of the people I know come and go out of my life and I haven't had much friends in my life. Furthermore, I am 22, and it wouldn't hurt if I had a girlfriend or at least some dates which I don't know how to start. Any advice would do. Thanks in advance

You don't have to listen too me because I am a little young to be giving you advice but try inviting those school friends over and have a little party or just hang out and if you don't like that idea the try doing things you enjoy and see if you share interests with anyone and try to find someone who may be quite and not clingy hope I helped :)
