The other parent leaves child at walmart or some store and drives off. They leave child alone at home and does not come back.
You may use abandonment as a reason to file for other civil issues , like a change in custody, a change in visitation if they don't visit or pay support. |

What do you expect doing so to get you? Abandonment is a criminal charge that refers to leaving a child without any adult supervision? Is that what happened? If it did then you report it to the police. If not, then you don't file abandonment charges.
