    My murray ride on won't start
    Hi I've an old murray ride on. Wheni turn the key there is nothing happenen. When go to the STARTER SOLENOID with my pilers it starts no bother, can someone help please

    Maybe be a seat or transmission safety switch.

    Hi,
    The turn ot the key tells little until shorting across the solenoid is factored in; no voltage is reaching the solenoid. Check battery, ground and wire from battery to solenoid.

    There is a yellow lead going to the seat cut half would that be the problam?

    Hi,
    The broken yellow wire could well be a seat switch wire and would be a proble, but the fact that shorting across the posts of the solenoid with no result still says that no voltage is reaching the solenoid.

    Yes it starts no bother, so what would the problem be?

    Likely the yellow wire needs to be connected.
    You could momentarily connect the yellow to ground for a test. If it works, connect the yellow back up to the switch. Good Luck.

    OK thanks for your help, its really bugging me so I am goina get someone to look at it.

    Ha ha got it sorted. I needed the handbrake on to start it..
