I have a Hampton Bay Berlini 52 inch ceiling fan 729395 that will only start with the remote- has to be turned on at the wall -will go for a few minutes;stops and then the light comes on. What is wrong with it?

I can't help you but I also have the same fan and I broke the blade holder off one of the blades .If you are interested in selling the blade holders please let me know [email protected]

What would cause the ceiling fan to hum, but not turn the blades? We can manually spin them easily. There are two switches on the wall: one for the light and the other the fan. The light is working fine. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
The fan has a dome cover. There are three "tiers" - the lower dome, center fan blades, and top casing. When I try to turn the lower dome to remove it, the lower and top casing rotate and the dome does not drop out (as an earlier answer suggested it might). Is there something I am missing?
