You make the choice to stop being jealous, now as far as your insecurities, that is something a little different, you may need professional help, but for the most part, you need to learn to value yourself.

Jealousy, although understandable, is a poison for you and for everyone involved. It all boils down to this: do you want to keep the relationship or not. If you do, you force it down. You talk about your feelings when you are calm and alone with this person and have thought carefully about what to say. You vent to best friends and family, but don't go on and on or you will drive them away too. If you fail at all this, you find a therapist, or break up, or both.
