How can I stop thermostat from beeping?
I have a Chase/ thermostat and I replaced the batteries but I cannot stop the beep. It even beeps when the batteries are out. I hit the reset button to no avail. How can I disconnect it and stop this beep.

In the thermostat guide for home owner it should show you how to turn off audible alerts. Not knowing the model of the thermostat makes it hard to pin point.

This is not expert advice, and should not be taken as such. I simply had to giggle when I saw your post, because I've been there. Sadly, my only solution was to hit it with a hammer, which is definitely not something I'd recommend.

    I wish you luck. :)

I have actually had a few customers do that. And after them telling me the story we all got a big laugh.

Trust me, I wasn't laughing when we had to replace the thermostat. My husband was not very happy with me, but he wasn't home, and the beeping was driving me nuts.

Used the same hammer on the smoke detector once. Definitely not recommended. ;)

But, if you have trouble with wood, woodworking, or plumbing (well, the plumbing only in a few areas) I'm your girl. With electronics, make sure to hide the hammer, I'll go for the kill. :)
