If you had a normal period after the sex, then it would be very unlikely that you would be pregnant. While some women will have some bleeding in early pregnancy, they technically won't have a period. This bleeding can sometimes be mistaken for a period, but is it usually lighter in flow, or shorter in duration than their normal period.
Since the test was taken a couple of weeks after the sex, it would likely be accurate. If the result is negative, and if for some reason you are still concerned about being pregnant, you could see your doctor for a blood test or you could wait and see what happens when your next period is due.
