My husband I think sprained his calf muscle a week ago it was sore and swollen. Now it is more swollen and he says it feels so tight it could bust. It has began to turn bluish and lots of red and it feels as though it has fever. He says it hurts worse now when he walks than when it first happened. What do we need to do and what is wrong with it now compared to last week.

You need to go to the ER now. This sounds like it could possibly be something called compartment syndrome and, if it is, he could lose his leg if it is not treated promptly.
