York furnace rollout switch
My husband removed the rollover switch(L320) along with the bracket it sit on. There were some long thin strips attached to the bracket of the switch that just broke off when he removed the bracket. Can someone tell me what they are and can this be part of the problem?

The furnace comes on OK. But when the blower motor comes on the flame in the firsttube from the left looks like it is shooting back out torwards the front of the furnace. It makes a popping sound when it does this almost like a low backfire. It is a goodman.
