    Trane xv80 furnace fan speed
I have a newer xv80 trane furnace, live in CO, and have had issues with the upstairs bedroom not warming up (there is no cold air return in the room). I looked at the dip switches and put my fan up to high from medium low factory setting. At first I thought the air was blowing the heat "faster" around the home but after a few weeks it seems that the air is blowing maybe too fast and the fast speed is having a cooling effect. I just changed the fan speed for heat to "normal", one down from high. Does anyone else have any recommendations on fan motor speed settings? Even thought the air may be warm, the faster setting makes if feel cooler... If I set it way low would it make a difference in heating? Thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Marko

I got the same problem. My Trane XV 80 bought December 2008. The fan speed on low barely moves the air... Rooms get cool... What a dumb design... ill never by a varispeed Trane . Or any other manufacturer again These crummy 25 volt motors are to weak and underpowered... Direct Energy in Canada really did a phoney scam on me..

Trane XV90 fan speed [ 2 Answers ]

Hi. I have a Trane XV90. I keep the fan running all the time, as was recommended with the DC variable speed motor in this model. When not in heating or cooling mode, the fan runs at 30% to keep the system pressurized and the air moving. My question is, does anyone know how to kick the fan speed...
