    If you find a way to do it, let me know. I have bad credit and am having trouble finding a mortgage company even though I have $40k to put down.

    Basically, it's not likely to happen for you.

    I agree, not going to work. Bad credit might stop you from getting a mortgage but with only $1000 no bank will take the risk, your new house could be upside down in a month and the bank doesn't like mortgages like that, at least any more
