    Does love exist?
I believe "like" is superior love, because whenever we love somebody we surly need her/his reply, but in case of "like" we can easily ignore the second persone faults or ignorance! So I would never try falling love with somebody! Just like is okay. Dring my life(30 years) many times I explored 'LOVE' is a kind of imagination of the right person but in fact that body does not exist, every body has his/her own faults...

I know that love exists, I have been living that emotion for at lease 15 years. And oddly, one can be in love many times and experience IS the best teacher.

Many things are different with each person and the degree of any emotion varies along with their ability to commit.

I have found that love and like are indeed both required. And I think that liking someone is the glue that helps hold the love.

Love is what looks past faults, like allows us to see them and perhaps ignore them but with love we really don't care if there are faults.
Love lets us look at the person as the best day ever.

Love can end, as "like" can end. And one can love for different reasons and in different ways.
And it may happen many times over ones life.

Love makes us open to be hurt, like allows a shield to always be up not allowing us the fullness of a relationship.

You are including infatuation and romantic love in with the love that endures over a long time and many trials. Love has so many forms as to be almost infinite in variety. It can be one sided, as a child who has rejected you. It can be from afar, as a best friend from childhood who has taken a totally different path in life. It can of course be happy and full of like, as when two people who got past romantic love decide they still want to be together.
One sided romantic love isn't love. It's just infatuation.

I agree that when young we tend to have an ideal of the one we are in love with, and the odds aren't in favor of that kind of love lasting. Love takes time, pure and simple, and it usually takes a lot of compromise. You trade the faults for the comfort of knowing that this person has stood by you. You take the whole package, and your partner takes you the way you are too, and you try to laugh off each other's faults, and that's love.
