Field repair for missing molar crown
I had a lower molar gold crown come off last night while eating. I am overseas working in a third world country and may not be able to return home to my dentist for two weeks. I am wondering what product such as Cavit) to buy to fill the void myself until I can return home to a US dentist. I will not under any circumstances see a local dentist here.

Is it adviseable to use a Rx rinse for prophylaxis? Should I also take a broad spectrum antibiotic as a preventative. Thank you.

The tooth, where the crown is missing will be fine as long as you keep that area well brushed, rinse well. You can take an antibiotic if it eases your mind, but don't think you will need it. Did you have a root canal done on that tooth prior to putting on the crown, if so there is no chance od infection, in either case.
