Paris Etching Society NY USA?
I have a large Genuin etching by Henri Jourdain Entitled "Road in Autumn in france"Its 32inches by 28 inches It was my grandmas and she had it for a long time. It says on the top right of the print (paris etching society NY USA) Then on the bottom left of the etching it saysroute on automne-france then on the right bottom it says hard to read but it signed in pencil.I think it says meri T Gurday not sure of the spelling. On the back of this picture in original frame it has brown paper with a sticker on it and the sticker reads GENUINE ETCHING by HENRI JOURDAIN entitled 'Road in Autumn in france" Paris etching society NY USA distributed by Tuner Newyork chicago los angeles then it says in a circle SLZ and then it says No.7 Just am wondering if I need to insure this and if so how much is it worth.If you need a photo I can send you one. Thank you for your time in this matter for me.

Inside the (circle) it has three letters:
(sz) and just to the left of the circle is the #7. (d) It was made by Henri Jourdain, in 1938. I'm also researching this etching, I too have this painting/etching & wanting to find out more about its author or origin and/or value, if any? In 2015, handed down for three generations, my grandparents owned it. Thank you! J.Davidson |
