Well if you don't want her and Chuff has his Scottish sweetheart, it looks as though little Jess is all mine. I know I haven't factored in what Jess wants, but if she knows what's best for her, she'll want Skell! LOL!!
Sorry to take away from the great discussion on this thread. It is brilliant and I am finding it great but my mind isn't at a level to contribute any more constructively then this rubbish!

Don't be sorry. That's what makes it a great thread - we can allow for a little respite before returning to the serious topic.
There is always time for some fun. Lol

Okay gang here's my law of attraction update. Weird thing happened last night. I was hungry for some Frosted Flakes, a cereal that I eat at all times of the day. So I went to the store to get some and at the end of the isle is a stand with DVD movies on sale. There staring me in the face as I came down the isle was a movie called "Law of Attraction" with Pierce Bronson and someone else that's probably famous. I'd never heard of this movie before and appeared to be a romantic movie which is probably why I'd never heard of it.
As weird as this sounds when I saw that, I stood there for a few minutes though and was just tried to figure out if there was something I was supposed to be picking up one at that moment. I didn't really get any "ah ha" moment but just the fact that this movie jumped out at me, at the end of the cereal isle mind you, the only isle I went to in the store was pretty interesting. Remember I've never heard of until about 2 weeks ago. Now it's kind of jumping out at me at various places.
So today I returned to Sam's Club where up until last week I had to always stand in lines that were 20 to 30 people deep. I was running some other errands so I forgot to think about getting a close parking spot. That hit me the face when I drove into the parking lot and it was completely full. So I parked and thought to myself, "I will spend one minute or less in line" for about two minutes. Then I went in and to my absolute astonishment there were about 10 people cashiering which is never the case. It's always been 3 or 4 at at time. What was even more astonishing was there were no lines. Every lane only had 1 or 2 people in them. Never, no matter the time of day in the last two years I've had a membership here has that been the case.
So, knowing normally how my luck USED to work I would get my stuff and come up and the lines would be 20 or 30 deep again. So I sat down for a second, and just said, "I will get through my line in under a minute." I got up, got my stuff and walked to the front where there for the first time ever was a cashier that was completely open. I even said to her, "I've never been here when I can just walk up to a cashier." She then answered, "Yeah, especially on a Thursday. It's unheard of." I then stood there for awhile like a deer with his eyes caught in the headlights. I was so baffled as to if this was happening because I asked for it or some kind of weird coincidence that this happened now. She finally said, "Sir, I need your card." and I snapped out of my little daze.
I'm going to try it one more time then try to up what I ask for.

I’d like to get that kind of power. I’m not even sure what I’m doing that’s why I’m trying it on these seeming small things. But I hope to be opening myself up to your kind of level as soon as I figure it out completely.

Well, do let me know how it goes, as I have been trying for years to run my car without the need to stop in at these little annoying places and pour some fairly expensive liquid into it. So far I have run out of gas twice and never once budged the fuel meter, however I tend to get some spectacular gas mileage so go figure? LOL
The problem becomes how our belief systems are built like a pyramid and my "cars run on gas" belief is near the bottom of mine. If I really were able to crack it and wipe out that belief, all kinds of other beliefs would require a commiserate paradigm shift too and I am clearly not up to that task, or if I am, y'all will get to visit me in the nice locked ward as swimming that far upstream is generally pretty hazardous to one's health. LOL

Chuff, this is all weird, how that happened at the cashiers...
So positive mental thinking can bring someone what they want. This is confusing stuff but could it really be true?

I don't want to say because I don't want to jinx myself! LOL.
I think there's something to this though. I think some people are thinking big deal you didn't wait in line at the store but all I can say is that has never happened in the 2 years I've gone there. Maybe it's a coincidence but I don't know. I used to always go in, even before I got in the store I would be dreading the lines and that's what I always got. Yet despite my history the one time I asked for 1 person in front of me I technically got 2 but the first was finishing the transacton. I still waited awhile so learning from that I just put out the statement "I want to go through my line in a minute or less" and it happened.
I don't play the lottery but I thought I might invest in just once trying this. But the problem is when push comes to shove I don't really believe I can win. Which is what the law of attraction states if you focus on losing you get losing.
That's why I haven't done anything major. I just am not sure of what's going on and I'm not sure if I'm even doing it right. I just know that what I've done so far has pretty much worked. That's why I'm being probably overly careful and deciding what to ask for next.
But to me the bigger thing is how this sort of snowballed for me. I mean two weeks ago I had not heard of this law of attraction and now it's jumping out at me everyday. That's why I just keep what I ask for small. I think if I start asking for something beyond my comfort zone I'm going to blow it. Which again is a negative thought so it's a catch 22.

Lol! Well I'm not afraid to say it works.
When this started to work for me in my twenties, I freaked out I thought I was going mad. So I tried a few experiments and they worked so well that I thought I was simply having a 'lucky' streak, and I spent a long time expecting the 'luck' to stop. But instead things just got better and better.
I come from a violent abusive childhood, I was very negative, very pessimistic, I grew up hating the world and his wife until I reached my twenties.
For those of you who are just beginning to grasp the concept of the law of attraction through the power of your mind, you might think you are imagining it, you might think you are going mad, and you might get the feeling that someone is looking out for you.
I ran the whole gauntlet because I was very skeptical but my life couldn't get any worse so I decided to give it a chance.
So began my journey... It began with reading Books by Richard Bach such as Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Illusions, etc. I also read books on Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. And it really began to make sense when I read The Master Key. I went on to read other books on Metaphysics.
I was sitting having lunch today with my daughter and was telling her how at last I was able to share what I believed. We have had casual conversations on this stuff and we have had some fun with it too -
Like one Sunday while serving dinner I had forgot to get gravy and one of my sons was complaining and I was getting annoyed, it wasn't like I had forgot it on purpose. Then a few days later I was vacuuming and heard something being put through the door, I went to see what it was and it was a FREE SAMPLE OF GRAVY GRANULES!
Here's another story... It was my birthday and I was just thinking how nice it would be to receive some flowers when the door bell went, I answered and there stood a delivery lady with a huge bouquet! Then the delivery lady said, "I hope you don't mind, these are for your neighbour but no one is home.” I took the flowers from her with a smile, closed the door and then looking up I said, "Very funny! Next time make sure they have my name on them!"
Another time the kids and I were sitting in the garden on a lovely sunny day chatting about where we would like to go on holiday. One of the kids mentions somewhere quite exotic and I said we would need to win the pools to be able to afford that. (The Pools - Littlewoods Football Pools here in UK, a bit like winning the Lottery).
Then the door went and after the kids had had a moaned about who was going to go answer the door, one of them came back with such a strange look on his face. He held in his hands a box with a picture on it of a kiddies large paddling pool. It was for next door, they were not home! I just stood up, lifted my juice glass and walked casually into the kitchen thinking... Must remember to be more specific! Lol

I can't pinpoint my feeling on it exactly, other than to say that something is going on. What that is I don't know. But I sense or have a greater awareness that something is going on. Just like I said about when I walked right to the open cahier, and she told me is was unheard of for a line to be open I just had this weird moment. I can't put it into words other than to say something was going on. I'm sorry I just can't describe it other than that.

Those two stories demonstrate exactly what I experienced the first time I tried it. I said I wanted a line with one person assuming that meant the line would be quick. I essentilally got what I asked for but didn't not for see the problem of waiting for 10 minutes. I wasn't specific.

The seed has been sown. You are awakening. There is no turning back once you become aware of the fact that thinking positive can make life much easier.
Negative thoughts are not bad. They are simply telling you about something that needs your attention. Take care of it and move on. It's only when we try to ignore the negative thoughts and warning that we get problems. If you don't take care of the cracks in the walls you shouldn't be surprised when the roof falls down,
"I can't pinpoint my feeling on it exactly, other than to say that something is going on. What that is I don't know. But I sense or have a greater awareness that something is going on. Something was going on with me too. I was in my mid twenties and I thought I was cracking up. I am not a religious person but my stepfather at the time was catholic and he suggested I go have a chat with his priest. Which I did and he was very kind and gave me some very good advice... He was the one who told me to avoid wishing harm on anyone and to think good thoughts. I think, even though I didn't understand what was going on, he recognised something in what I was saying. He didn't seem the least bit bothered by what I was saying.
I hope you get a better grasp of it at this stage than I did when I was just starting. It took some time for me to accept that it was me doing it - not a ghost, not Spirit, and not God.

Free Ebook - As A Man Thinketh by James Allen
As a Man Thinketh by James Allen - Project Gutenberg
"Man is made or unmade by himself; in the armoury of thought he forges the weapons by which he destroys himself. He also fashions the tools with which he builds for himself heavenly mansions of joy and strength and peace. By the right choice and true application of thought, man ascends to the Divine Perfection; by the abuse and wrong application of thought, he descends below the level of the beast. Between these two extremes are all the grades of character, and man is their maker and master."
"Man is always the master, even in his weakest and most abandoned state; but in his weakness and degradation he is the foolish master who misgoverns his "household." When he begins to reflect upon his condition, and to search diligently for the Law upon which his being is established, he then becomes the wise master, directing his energies with intelligence, and fashioning his thoughts to fruitful issues. Such is the conscious master, and man can only thus become by discovering within himself the laws of thought; which discovery is totally a matter of application, self-analysis, and experience."
Earl Nightingale, widely regarded as the father of modern day personal development, called the ideas in this book, "The Strangest Secret". The secret, he said, is "we become what we think about".

I don't want to be the guy to say something went wrong since I was feeling something there for a couple weeks but I kind of had a moment. Tell me what I did wrong if anything.
First the other day I went to my favorite pizza place and the whole way there I was saying "they will make an extra order or someone will not have picked up something and give me something extra" For some reason I've always had this happen to me quite a bit at fast food places and even some nicer restaurants. Last week it happened 3 times so since I was on a role I put it out there for this pizza place. I got nothing other than my pizza.
As far as the law of attraction itself the last it appeared in my life was Sunday night. It was in a unusual way though. I was listening to a show about mixed martial arts and a UFC fight from the night before (which on a side note you should see Randy Couture vs. Tim Sylvia even if your not a fan. Long story short the fight and the end is very motivating). Anyway the radio show originates from Toronto, Canada so I was listening over the internet seeing as I live in Florida, USA and they had a commercial for some event in Toronto with the star of the movie, "The secret." That totally caught me off guard because usually they advertise health care products, gyms, mma websites, and other stuff that is geared for that crowd. The commercial only aired once during the two hour show but I was thinking "there it is again, popping up into my life."
I don't know though about that pizza thing. Was I asking for two much? I figured it was small enough and happens consistently in my life so why not try it. It didn't work though. I haven't tried since.

Actually you could be on to something as I usually follow a diet of chicken and protein shakes and in the last 2 months I've all but quick doing it in favor of eating out.

Weightlifter indeed for almost 13 years or so. I use vanilla whey, frozen strawberries or raspberries, milk, and a no calorie black cherry flavoring blend for my protein shakes.

Lush, If I could afford to buy frozen fruit I would. I got rotator cuff problems at the moment. Which means no chest, shoulders or generally much :(
It's really frustrating when you have broken up with your EX. I just want to get down the gym and BULK up! But only doing legs/back/arms/delts is annoying.

I used to believe this kind of thing but I don't anymore. I was positive about a guy I liked, I imagined us together so clearly in my head I actually felt joyful as if I was really there with him. I visualised this often, apparently this is supposed to be sending out positivity to the universe who is listening. Well he ended up getting a girlfriend which wasn't me so I really don't think it's that simple - if it was, we'd all be millionaires! :)

I don't know if they have Sam's Clubs in England but here in the US we have them and there a little different from most supermarkets. You buy things in bulk so you pay more but by volume everything is cheaper. There prices are great, their service (at least in Lakeland and Kissimmee Florida stores) leave a lot to be desired. We have a chain in the southern US based right here in Lakeland called Publix, and how they get the nicest people working at their stores I'll never know but they are the might be the greatest businness I've ever been to when it comes to customer service but they do have high prices on their produce, and when you got through protein shakes like I do I just can't afford to keep buying their little bags of fruit.
That bites, about the rotator cuff, I have bad legs so I don't put a lot of stress on them but I do on my upper body, especially arms. My arms are quite huge and it's my favorite part to work.
