Help! Boyfriend is in jail.. He is awaiting deportation to Jamaica.
My boyfriend and I plan on marrying either way but I am confused and stressed to the max.. He is a legal permanent resident. He committed a felony when he was around 19 to 20 years old.. He served 4 years and was released last year Feb 2011. He was arrested in Dec 2011 awaiting deportation.

His next court date he may not have a lawyer and if he doesn't like how things look he has decided to sign out and go to Jamaica.

We love each other unconditionally so I will stay with him but I don't know what to do. I was born here but I lived and went to school in Jamaica. Ironically I came back from Jamaica in Feb 2011.

I don't have a lot of money.. What can I do? What should I do in preparation?

Start working on your passport and visa to go to Jamacia.
You love him unconditionally, so you can live with him and love him there when he is deported.

As of 1 August 2008, we will now consider for deportation a new category of foreign national offender. From this date, non-EEA nationals who are convicted in the UK and receive a custodial sentence of any length for an offence relating to the supply of class A, B or C drugs* will be considered for deportation. This is in addition to those already considered for deportation.
Where the sentence imposed is 12 months or more, the duty to deport will remain under the automatic deportation provisions of the UK Borders Act 2007. Where the provisions of the UK Borders Act 2007 do not take effect, cases will be assessed under the provisions of the Immigration Act 1971.
