How to wire two lights and two switches from a single source?
How do I wire a light - switch - switch - light with the power source coming from the first light? A diagram would be helpful.

Do you need your 2 switches turned to "ON" ?

    POWER --X-------_----_-------X ("X" : are lights, and "_" : are swithes)

or do you only need 1 switch like that ?

    ----_----
    POWER --X---| |--------X ("X" : are lights, and "_" : are swithes)
    ----_----

I have a power source going to a hall light and down to a switch in a double switch box. The second switch goes to an outside light that doesn't have a power source. I need to wire the two switches in the box to be able to use both lights independently. I thought about running the power source to the switches instead, but the switch box is in a difficult location. Thank you.

I got it. The wire from the hall light to the 1st switch is a three wire so I was able to run the extra wire as a source to the second switch. Thank you for your help.

I am a little bit confused why in AC single phase 2 wire source is merely classified the 1 wire as hot and other wire as neutral. The hot wire travels the current from the source to the load and going back the current to the source through the neutral wire. I know that in AC circuit, the signal or...
