    Taxes 401 k
    Have a 401k rolled over it to and account in a bank in NY.. They sent me a paper saying to file it as a G.. because I live in fla now. I just moved here in oct.and have not worked.. So what do I put now that my taxes will be done in NY..

    If the 401K was rolled over, NO taxes are due to EITHER the IRS or the state of New York.

    The transaction is reported on Form IT-203. After 2011, New York will have NO legal standing to tax the distributions if you take any.

Is it true. That in the state of Oregon. You can Do a Hardship withdrawal on 401k and pay taxes on the amount you receive at the end of the tax year. Or is it mandated that you pay all taxes up front prior to withdrawal.
