I was suddenly missing an old friend of mine. It started when she wished me happy birthday on Facebook. Since I missed her so much (weeks after my birthday), I initiated a FB conversation with her. It went well. We agreed to meet for lunch next month to catch up when she'll be in town. The next week she asked me what I have been doing. I answered and told her activities and sports I did with friends the previous week, and asking some questions back.

This was almost two weeks ago and she hasn't replied and I haven't seen her online since! I know she has internet because she wrote a status update days ago!

I don't know why. Normally I'm not bothered by people not answering but with this I JUST CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT THIS TIME.

I am guessing it could be one of two reasons:

1. She figured out from my messages I am thinking about her heaps but doesn't want to send the wrong message because she's not interested.

2. She isn't into the things/activities I do; She is afraid because of this I will get turned off and so didn't reply.

Both suck. :(

My plan is just to sit tight and wait till next month when we see face to face. (unless she changed her mind in the meantime... )

What do you think? I am asking for your advice because when I'm going crazy it's hard to make good decisions. Normally when I am not crazy about a girl but still like her I do quite well. Now I'm all tied up by emotions.

One maybe important tidbit: Last time we saw each other was 3 years ago when she came through this city. That time we kissed but after that decided not to have a relationship because we live so far apart. A long long long time ago we were close because we went to university and studied together many times. It was definitely just studying, she was in a relationship back then.

Yes but you seem way to obsessed by two old friends meeting. She ( my guess ) just wanted to catch up with how things were going, and when she may have felt you were trying to go further just wanted to cut off talking.

Personally I doubt she will meet you, but if she does, just be two old friends talking.

Do you have any suggestions about how I could reduce my obsessions? I've obsessed with two girls before this and both times the only way to stop it was just to cut the respective persons out of my life completely. It's incredibly difficult and I don't want to do this again.
