So me and my girlfriend have been dating for 3 months and she has stayed through the worst of me. I'm a depressed person so when this depression hits me I give up on everything. I can't keep a job. I push friends and family away. I even tried to push her away lots so far. I treat her bad, I'm a bit clingy, but that's because of my insecurities.

I grew up without a mother, or a father, so I learned from different homes so it explains why some of me is a **** up, but it sucks when you have lots of hope and I can't even find faith in your own daughter. I haven't seen my daughter in 2 months.

The mother of my child is not my girlfriend. I ****ed that relationship up like I'm afraid I'm going to do the same thing. I'm asking for help because she is worth keeping around, she has seen the worst of me, and I want to be better for her.

Get some help for yourself, and work on your issues guy. We all need help, some more than others, and some need a bit extra by a trained professional. Just take the first step and ask your doctor for a referral to the right one. Tell your girl, and show her with actions that you are trying. Sometimes that's all you can do, so do it.

You need to start wanting to be better for the person that should be the most important in your life, YOURSELF. Leave the girlfriend, work on yourself, get some counceling if you need to. Go work out, go socialize, and stop feeling sorry for yourself. To accept that you are depressed and cannot hold a job is not what you are supposed to do, you are supposed to grow some b@lls and start fixing yourself. But it is a lot better to it on your own. If you are not happy on your own, you will not be happy with someone else, first work on yourself, only then can you attempt to work in a relationship.

Perhaps you honestly don't need a relationship till you get YOU better. Are you under treatment, have you seen a doctor. ( if not why?)

You also need to start seeing your daughter, get visitation though the courts, you don't have to have a relationship or even like the mother, just arrange to see the child.
