How do you know when you are pregnant? I'v got a common cold, mild headaches, cramps in my lower stomach, and my lower stomach has tightend up a little bit. Is that any signs? I'm on birthcontrol but the condom did break. So, I don't know and I need help!

Have you missed a period? For most women that is the first indication that they may be pregnant. Feeling some nausea, slight cramping, or headaches could be from a number of different reasons besides pregnancy. Many of the possible symptoms women feel can be similar to what some women feel when a period is due to start.

If you haven't missed a period yet, see what happens when your next one is due and try a test if necessary. The earliest to know for sure would be to have a positive result on either a urine test or a blood test.

The first sign most women have is a missed period. Home pregnancy tests normally need to be done after you miss your next period. So if you have not missed your yet, it is now the waiting game.
