    Question about CO-Renting an apartment..
My room mate recently moved out, well without my consent really; She's currently still on the lease.
Our lease still has about 10 months left on it, and I honestly can't make the payments by myself; Now I got a copy of my lease and it says "Break lease", so I started reading that section, in that section it says "A hand-written 30 day notice is required, then you'll pay that months rent, plus the next months rent".. but on the back of my lease it says "Tenants are not allowed to leave whenever they please.." I honestly am confused. Please help.. Right now the only option I have is to take a hit in my credit score and become evicted..

It appears you can ask for permission to end the lease early. It may or may not be granted.

(Sounds like your roommate was a prize!)

You can file suit against your roommate for her share of the rent. She broke the lease illegally and is liable for her share, at least until you can get a replacement.

You can, as noted, try to negotiate a buyout with the landlord to avoid an eviction, then sue the roommate.
