Hello,

I currently just bought a house and found that a 15amp is running 6 pot lights with 1 switch, a bathroom with a light/switch and a total of 7 outlets... Is this OK or should I fix it? If so what do I need to do upgrade to a 20amp or break them up and buy a new 15amp breaker?

Leave it alone.

In a residence, there is no mandated number of outlets. An outlet is defined as a opening to gain access to the circuit.

So you have 14 outlets, 11 of which are receptacles.

If you decide to split the circuit, which would be the best method, you would have to have access to the cable where you plan to make the split and then you must run a new home run back to the main panelboard. You will also, most likely need a permit to do the work.

Well is there any risks that I am taking by leaving it alone... for example if all 6 pots lights are on the bathroom light is on and I am using a outlet to supply a light and computer with monditor/printer will it cause any damage?

The most likely result will be a tripped breaker. Up grading to a 20 AMP is acceptable IF the wire is 12AWG and I would suspect you have 14AWG.
