    honeywell thermostat t8411r wiring?
We recently had our downstairs unit replaced and a new digital thermostat installed. The heating/cooling guy said that I could replace the upstairs thermostat (an OLD mercury type) with the removed Honeywell t8411r.
On the old mercury thermostat the wires were as follows:
white connected to W2 and E
    Brown connected to X
    Blue connected to B
    Red connected to R
    Green connected to G
    Yellow connected to Y

I matched up the wires to the same terminals on the Honeywell but since there is no X terminal I connected the brown wire to the W1 terminal (because the brown was connected to W1 on my new downstairs unit).

The air condining didn't work so I moved the blue wire to C (as it is on the new downstairs unit) and the air began working. The Emergency heat kicks on just fine, but the regular heat does not kick on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated... I'd hate to have to put that old mercury unit back on...
