    Theft or fraud over $5000?
So this guy I used to work with stole over $10000 in money from the company during about 2 years. We are in Canada. What are charges and what is the possible sentencing.

    Hello n:

There are many, many factors that go into sentencing, and I know NONE of them except how much he stole... That ain't enough..

I can tell you this much, those things you ask about are NOT written in stone, and CAN be effected by the quality of the lawyer he hires. Or, he can let the cops decide his fate. Me? I'd hire a lawyer.
