Help for Broken Light Socket in Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan
The light in my ceiling fan has stopped working and I know the problem isn't the bulb or the power source (the fan works). Perhaps a wire is loose. I'm not capable of fixing myself. Is this a job or an electrician or could a handyman likely take care of it. Thanks!

This is a job for electrician. A handyman with knowledge of electric may be able to fix it. Then again he may not.

Hampton Bay Fan light switch 'broken'? [ 1 Answers ]

Our light switch gets quite a workout. It just failed yesterday. Came out to use it in the morning and found it 'bottomed out'. That is, apparently the return spring has broken. I can force the pull chain up about an inch into the bottom ferrule; that's how I measured the slack. ...
