No pressure in tub/shower, fine everywhere else
I've read a few posts regarding sinks with no pressure, but have not found anything regarding tubs. From what I have read, there has been mention of cleaning the aerator? How do you do this? And could this be my problem? Are there other issues that I should check for? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jan, Your bathtub does't have a aerator. Has any work been done on your pipes or has the city shut down the main for repair? The same principle applies to tub valves as to any other valve that you have. What's the brand name of your tub valve? Regards, Tom

Hi, I have a serious problem in one of my bathrooms. The cold water pressure of the shower/tub is fine. But when I turned the knob towards the hot, the pressure drops all of a sudden, too low to take a hot shower. The sink 3 feet away has both excellent hot and cold water pressure. I suspect...

I am hoping that someone can offer a suggestion to solve my problem. We recently purchased a 60 year old home. The sink in one of our bathrooms drains completely fine until the water has run for about 5 minutes and then all of a sudden it starts to back up and then drains very slowly. I have...

Recent Drop in Shower/Tub water Pressure [ 3 Answers ]

Yesterday morning my Wife took a shower with fine water pressure (it is low to begin with and I don't have one of the water saving washers installed) but today when I turned on the show the stream was very weak and slowly got weaker until it is now just dripping out of the head. The bath tub is...

Low bath tub and shower pressure [ 2 Answers ]

We had a leak and some pipes had to be changed that lead to the shower head. We also had a new tub faucet installed. Pressure was low to both the shower and tub so we had the plumber return for an adjustment. It was OK for a while, but still not very much pressure. Several months passed and ...

Tub won't drain, other fixtures are fine... [ 5 Answers ]

We've a full bath (combo shower/tub, lav and toilet) where the tub either does not drain at all, or will take 48 hours to finally go down (when aided by chemicals I know I should not be using). The lav and toilet have no flush/drain problems, so I'm not thinking it's a bad vent situation... could...
