    My central heating unit burns shut off, don't they need a cleaning,

    All systems need to be serviced. Burners and flame sensors get dirty. Flue pipe needs to be checked to make sure its venting properly. Gas pressure needs to be checked and a carbon monoxide test needs to be ran.
