    Toilet leaking around base?
    Hey
    We change the seal and water is still leaking. What should we do?

    Are you sure it is leaking from the base, please tell us some more does it leak when the toilet is flushed?

    Have checked the toilet tank bolts and the supply line connections if not do that andsee if you can locate the leak, Thanks.

    Good question Bob! A few things I would have checked before In replaced the wax seal.
    Pull the tank lid and give it a flush. If there's water that's spraying up You have located the problem. Another, ( although I don't think this is it) is a partial clog causing a momentary back up. A wax seal will not contain water that floods back intro the seal.
    However, if the toilet's flushing normally then it's off the table.
    The fact that the water's clear leads me to believe the problem isn't drainage.
    Let's check and see.
    Take a pad of TP and pat around the pipe that enters the tank. No moisture there?
    Now flush and wipe the back of the tank. Let me know what you find. Good luck, Tom
