Girl says I am her father...
Here is the story. I left AZ in 1992 and moved to ID a month later I was contacted by a girl I was seeing off and on saying she was pregnant and it was mine. I know for a fact she kind of got around a bit. I told her if she thinks the child is mine do what you have to do and waited for the paternity test papers to come but nothing ever happened. I figured she found the father and life went on. I received child support papers for a 17 yr old girl two yrs ago from the state of TN. I hired an attorney right away and had the order thrown out. I received a phone call from my mother a couple days ago saying a 19 yr old girl called and is trying to get in touch with me because she thinks I am her father. She is also sending me messages on social networks.I am now married have a great wife and a 16 yr old daughter that is a super kid. I don't want anyone thinking I am a bad guy. I would have had no problem taking care what is mine but why did she wait 17 yrs to do this? I have had no contact with the girl at all. I know she has questions and I don't know if I can answer any of them but if I do contact her could I wind up in court again. I don't want my family to suffer any financial burdens at this point and time. I am trying to save for kids college pay off existing debts. I would appreciate any advice.

If you got the support case thrown out then its unlikely you will be held for any financial responsibility.

So I would allow the girl to contact you. Tell her why you were not a part of her life and go on from there.

So get with the girl, do a DNA test and find out, If the order got thrown out, most likely there is nothing monetary that can be done.

In my opinion you will look worst, at ignoring her than you would trying to do the proper moral things at this point.
The girl wants to know if you are the father, I think she is owed that, it is not her fault her mother did not do anything properly though court
