    Cosigner for renter
My daughter and her friend moved in an apt. Neither had jobs, with the understanding they both would get one. The friend has not paid me a dime since July, nor her mother. I found out there is a 60 day termination of lease with 1 month rent penalty. The girl needs to sign along with my daughter a termination of lease today, so they can move out by end of November and I will sue her in court for past rent and utilities. HOwever the apartment complex knows she has not paid a dime and I'm footing the bill. Can't I terminate the lease even if she doesn't sign?

Who signed the lease? Whoever is on the lease has to sign the termination notice.
