Where is my cam shaft sensor located?
I have a 2.7l v6 2003 chrysler sebring that keeps spitting out the code p0340 which supposedly indicates a bad cam shaft sensor . I know that in most cases the cam shaft sensor is fairly easy to replace and the sensor itself is not terribly expensive, but I am in college and have limited funds and would like to replace it myself rather than pay someone for their labor. I checked where I assumed it would be located but would like an answer just confirm my thoughts before I proceed .

On the end of the front cylinder head, inline with the camshaft. Coat the O-ring on the new sensor with engine oil, prior to installation. My advice is to go with a BWD sensor, with a lifetime warranty, from AdvanceAutoParts.com. See what it looks like on that site (Part No. CSS901, $18.09), to help you confirm its location on your engine. Easy job.
