So what's stopping you from getting a divorce? Eight years should be enough to get a divorce on abandonment.

There are certain requirements for this to be accomplished. The Clerk of Courts can help you with the publication of these specifically worded ads in newspapers which will help you get your divorce. Go see your Clerk of Courts for the forms if you want to do this yourself.
