I bought a painting at an auction and was told by the auctioneer that it is worth some money.

Well I am not interested in this painting at all and was going to throw it out but thought I had better check first. I cannot make out the signature. It is on canvas and framed. It is an oil painting. Nothing is written on the canvas on the back.

That's about all I know about paintings that I can offer.
