    Hello G:

Given that expunged crimes are NOT hidden from law enforcement, I'd tell 'em the truth.

First every law enforcement agency I have ever applied for, always asks if you have ever been arrested, not just convicted.

Also every law enforcement job when they do the back ground search, shows any explunged crime, it is not hidden from law enforcement anyway.

Normally you will still not be allowed to be a officer if you ever had a felony, If you are, you won't get hired, unless you have family or a friend in the department who will help you get hired. There is about 200 plus applications for any one job, and at least 20 get called for interviews for any one job. So you will be going against people with no record what so ever, so unless you have some real other talents or experience, there is little chance.
