    1997 jeep wrangler 2.5 liter 4 cylinder
My jeep runs on 2 cylinders, I have changed the spark plugs and wires the distributer and cap, there is no spark on the two plugs that the cylinder is out on but there is spark on the distributer. What could be the problem (there is no residue on the plugs)

    Thoughts:

Lightly coat the porcelain portion of the spark plugs with dielectric grease, to prevent the plugs from shorting out. Apply dielectric grease to all connectors and ensure they are fully seated. Was the distributor OEM? Many people have problems with aftermarket distributors.

The secondary voltage is going somewhere--you don't want it to turn on the ignition system itself and ruin the distributor.

1997 jeep wrangler stalls, will not start [ 1 Answers ]

I have a 1997 jeep wrangler. A few days ago I was waiting at a stop sign and when I went to pull out my Jeep stalled then completely quit. I assumed it was a fuel pump and replaced the fuel pump module (ouch!). I drove the jeep for 15-20 minutes trying out the new repair and the Jeep died again...
