    Harddisk problem
    My harddisk size is 160gb just now my harddisk was correpted due to power problem
    It displays only 33gb(its also displays unknown partiton)i have very crucial data in my harddisk
    Please hellp me how to get my full data in that hardisk

    Crucial data is normally backed up. Restore the data from backup. Otherwise, immediately stop using the drive and send it to a data recovery company.

    When a PC is forced to shut down because of a power failure the OS sometimes has not finished writing new system data to the disk, and it becomes lost. Depending on what data was lost, sometimes you can correct it. One way is to look for "repair MBR" help or "repair MFT" (master boot record or master file table) If either is corrupt it can prevent startup.

    If your using XP and you have a retail disk (not OEM like HP or Gateway) you can do a non-destructive reinstall and all the system files will be replace with ones from the disk. If that's the case I can point you to a tutorial or walk you though it.
