I stopped cutting myself for my boyfriends sake and I have the scars to prove the cuts he didn't and doesn't like it when I hurt myself on purpouse but know he has broken up with me I have starved myself and I have tried to cut myself well I have a problem I think it some mental disorder to of my friends boyfriend has had it and it causes your mind to want to hurt yourself phisicly and I need help so please help me before I find a knife

Hey sweetie-
You seem very intelligent and aware of yourself for a young age. WHen I was a teen I went through similair experiences. Yes, you are right, you need help. Don't take that the wrong way and think you are messed up. Its OK to need help and ask for it. In fact, it's a very mature thing to do and respectful decision to make. If you feel comfortable, tell your parents and be honest and ask for their support. If not them, then ask an adult YOU TRUST. Sometimes we go throughthings in life that affect us in ways we never imagined. They may make us do things to ourselves because we don't know how to cope otherwise.
But if you care about your own well being, and it sounds like you do, then stand up for yourself and get help.
I take medication now and I am a successful, popular, HAPPY woman and I am not ashamed of what I have gone through or having to take meds. I know other teens can be brutal and judgemental and you be embaressed to get help but you should be proud of who you are!

Ok... I have been reading a lot of your posts, and here is what I feel is happening to you:
Most likely NOTHING (it is possible you have some depression), but most likely the only thing you're suffering from is a lack of attention from your parents. It seems that you are almost looking up to people who truly have these problems, because you see the attention they are receiving. I know because I did a lot of the same things, only I did it because for some reason it wasn't "ok" with me to be a good "normal" kid. I've always craved attention, which is why I became an actress. My advice is that you find something (like acting or painting) to express this negative behavior. Find something you love and focus on that. If you spend your whole life looking at others and wanting to be anyone but yourself, you're making it that much harder for you to figure out who YOU really are. It is so important that you look inside yourself and realize your special talents. Let me know how it goes, and trust me... being able to cut without dying is NOT a talent ;) Take care sweetie, I really do hope you find the brighter side of life.
