Nail polish remover spilt onto polyurethane floor
    Hello~
I just spilt nail polish remover onto my polyurethane finished floor. I did wipe it off with water, then a soft rag. Do I need to do more?
    Will the polyurethane be damaged?
    Thanks~

There isn't enough solvent in the nail polish remover to damage your floor. Just stay away from that area for a day or so. Put a chair over it so it won't be walked on.

If the poly is well set, more than a couple of months, you should be OK. Older removers had acetone and ethyl acetate and they would cause some damage. However, to reduce pollution, they are going to less volatiles and even water based removers. If you see some hazing(see the spots) try a little bit of floor or car wax and buff it well. You should be good to go!
