    Unknown title children's books?
    I'm searching for the title or the author of a children's book about a young boy who finds a baby star and brings it home. He attempts to care for it by feeding it his mother's silver spoons and his father's golden watch, but eventually must send it back to the sky. The little boy sort of looks like a walking broccoli stalk in the illustrations (as do his parents). I believe his name started with a D and was something like "daiku" but googling that isn't coming up with anything useful :(

    The Name of the Book is Daiku and The Baby Star by Elzbieta. The book was given to you in 1992 and I read it to you a lot because it was a favorite of yours. It is in your room at home in good condition and well cared for. Next time you may want to go to "Ask Your Mama First." You might get a quicker answer and learn more details about your favorite childhood things.
