    Honda push lawnmower
    Only starts in choke position - high revs and fluctuating - governor is going back and forth. Will not run slow or idle properly. Was using it 2 days ago until it quit - I was using it pretty hard with a dethatching blade. I thought it overheated and left it alone . Today finally got it going, it would only run for about 2 seconds and die - lots of smoke, burning oil but did not tip leting oil in cylinder. Seems like its slowly coming around but still runs like explained at top. Sorry I've mixed up the time line, but at first it ran just fine

    More than likely some crud in either the gas tank, filter or carb, it is starving for fuel.

Murray push lawnmower [ 1 Answers ]

I have a Murray push lawnmower that I want to know the year of manufacture. Model 21673X92A Date Mfg 1283 It has a Tecumseh engine TVXL115 56025A Many thanks.

Push lawnmower will start, but immediately dies [ 1 Answers ]

The push mower is a 4.5 HP. It was bought last year. After pushing the primer 2-3 times I can get it to start, but it will immediatiely die. I can keep it running by pushing the primer. I've replaced the spark plug, cleaned the air filter and replaced the gas. Any ideas are appreciated.
